Whatever colors or effects you've envisioned for your home or office, the final result is dependent upon the texture to which it is to be applied.  For finishes such as denims and tissue paper, soft textures such as orange-peel would be fine.  Finishes such as faux leather, marble, suedes and Venetian Plaster would be best applied to a smooth wall texture.   Whatever your goal, Evie's Easel Decorative Faux Painting can utilize the textures you currently have or apply texture to your walls according to your desired effect.

 Color-washing, ragging or
 sponging a glaze onto an
 orange peel textured wall
 provides a softer glaze
effect (as on left) as
 opposed to the glaze applied
 to a skip-trowel, slip-drag or
 knock-down texture where
the glaze can catch in nooks
 and crevices (as pictured on
 right).

Some faux finishes are best applied to a
smooth or nearly smooth surface.

Faux leather (right) will give it best appear-
ance on a smooth wall texture which will
allow the glaze to best replicate the folds
and scratches in real leather. However, it
can be applied to a soft orange-peel texture
with good effect.

Marbleizing and Venetian Plaster, however,
should only be applied to a smooth wall.

 Old World finishes such
as the

lovely European finishes
which
add elegance and
charm  to a kitchen or
wine grotto.

Tired of plain white stair spindles?  Evie's
 Easel

wrought iron effect at half the
 cost or less of
replacing with real iron.
  Fireplace transformations

cast stone mantles to a       dramtically different look - like leather on the left or
 stone on the right.

 his school or favorite
 team's colors.
