Serving Dallas, and cities in Collin and Denton County.
Born and raised in the historic city of San Antonio, Texas, Eva Musquiz, began her artistic journey as a child creating oil paintings of horses. Mentored by her grandmother, Eva’s talent evolved, at first, to the fabric arts, by way of quilt making. In the 1980’s, with her husband’s remnants from his stained glass business, she discovered mosaics and started her own mosaics business.
Being an ovarian cancer survivor at age 18, and cured at 21, her belief in the half-full glass is evident upon meeting her. Her life is an example of faith, tenacity, passion and lots of color. With a need to see color on a bigger canvas, the decorative/faux painting seed was planted…”if you can put paint on a small canvas, why not put beautiful color on the entire wall?”
Textures, designs, and transformations became her passion. After leaving a corporate position to pursue working in the art world full time, she began studying art, and apprenticing under her close friend and accomplished North Texas artist who is a 7-year veteran to the industry. Eva’s abstract and still life art and mosaics now have representation throughout the U.S. and Canada, with current representation in Philadelphia galleries.
Eva now resides in North Texas with her husband, Cam, of 28 years, and her dachshund, Phoebe. She has one child, a grown daughter, age 25 named Erin.
